Description
For our July Field trip, we have prepared an itinerary of TWO stops in Old City Philadelphia.
We will meet at the Woodcraft Store in New Castle, Delaware and take a passenger van up to Philly. Our first stop will be “Open Studio Day” at the Windgate Arts Residency Program in Wood at NextFab. (Coffee and bagels will be provided upon arrival.)
After the Open Studio Day at NextFab, we will head over to the Museum for Art in Wood for a private tour of their current exhibitions and their permanent collection.
July 12th Itinerary:
- 8:30 AM – Meet at Woodcraft
- 9 AM – Depart Woodcraft for Philly
- 10 AM – Arrive NextFab / Windgate Arts Residency; Enjoy Coffee & Bagels
- 10:15 AM – Opening Remarks, Artist Presentations
- 11:45 AM – Shop Tour, Demonstrations
- 12:30 PM – Depart NextFab for the Museum for Art in Wood
- 12:45 PM – Private Tour of the Museum’s exhibitions
- 2 PM – Depart Philadelphia
We are requesting $10 per person to help with our costs. Spouses / partners are welcome, also $10. (If you have an FSW Family Membership, your spouse can attend for free.)
Due to time constraints, we’re not planning a lunch, but we will have snacks and a cooler on the van with water, soda, etc.
If it’s more convenient for you to drive yourself and meet us there, that’s no problem at all. But we still ask you to sign up.
If you want to skip the Open Studio Day at NextFab, that’s fine, too. You can meet us at the Museum for Art in Wood at around 12:30 PM. But again, we ask that you register because we need a head count.
